In northern Italy, surrounded by mountains and soft landscapes, lies Lago d’Orta. One of Italy’s cleanest and most tranquil lakes. The water is clear. The architecture is timeless. The pace is calm. Everything carries a natural balance between function and beauty.
That is where the name was born.
One of our founders, Erik, lived and worked in Italy for many years. He brought something home that cannot be measured in numbers — a perspective on quality. In Italy, it is self-evident that what you use every day should also be beautiful. That what is produced should last. That design is not decoration — but care.
When we started the company, we wanted to build something with that same feeling.
We chose the name Orta because it represents exactly what we stand for:

We were missing the middle.

We develop and distribute innovative products that combine medical precision, sustainability, and design. Our electric toothbrushes are produced in solar-powered factories, and our hair dryers use energy-efficient BLDC motors.
But the most important thing is not the technology.
